When we set out to Alaska on our Honeymoon, we didn't know quite what to expect. We knew it would be beautiful, but how in the world would we know what we were getting into. After much research, we decided to go on a whim and spend the whole time at this place I saw a web page for. We hadn't read about the place in any travel books, magazines, etc. Looking back, we could not have picked a better place than Sadie Cove W.L.. We are both backpackers and we wanted something rustic, but also comfortable and a mild amount of pampering. We got it all. A list of the best things: the FOOD, views, isolation, company, HOSTS, and wildlife. Alaska is so big that we want to see the rest of it when we make it back, but it will be impossible not to swing back by the Lodge for a few more nights. Thanks once again for an unforgettable vacation.

Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful spot of heaven with us during our recent honeymoon. We had a WONDERFUL time and really enjoyed the peace and tranquility. You have such a unique, special place there and it is still our favorite place to visit via the videos that we took! Everyone here in Texas is jealous of our experience there and all would like to visit some day. (We have been showing our videos to everyone!)
When you get a chance, we would really like to have the recipe for the Swedish pancakes that you served for breakfast the first morning. That way we can always have a taste of Sadie Cove to share with our visitors.

An anniversary hike to a glacial lake

After a "cool" wedding on a remote glacier a return to Sadie Cove Lodge for a wilderness honeymoon. On the outside they wore beautiful wedding clothes. Underneath, they dressed more sensibly for the glacier experience.
